Yet again it is another lot of people who know best and want to prevent anyone making up their own minds ...... After all, that might be dangerous .... they might not toe the Fluffy Bunny Party line.

What is more dangerous is to let papers like the DM continue to make up complete bullshit and sell it as news.

I do think the Daily Mail is a repulsive paper and some companies might think twice about advertising with them. But I think the Lego promotion just ended and that Lego did not 'pull' their ads. Daily Mail circulation is over 1.5 million, second only to the Sun. (this is for the print version.)

Sorry I disagree ...... if you stopped ALL press reports that distort the truth then I would agree, but to allow the unmitigated bilge that emanates from some of the left wing press but stop the bilge from some on the right only is much worse. At least with both sides on a level footing you have a chance to decide yourself where the balance lies. That is the right the Fluffy Bunnies deny ...... The right to use your own intelligence to decide.

The right to use your own intelligence to decide. Agreed. Even back when I was at secondary school they taught us to read newspapers with the bias of the reports in mind. So, if you read the Mail, you read it knowing full well the right wing bias and allow for that when assessing what you have read. In the interests of balance I should state that other, left wing, biases are available . Roger

My (very left wing) friend posted the "brand jamming" link for the John lewis ad on Facebook last night. I'm staggered that she can't see this for what it is - anti-freedom, anti-free speech and the sort of bullying tactics she readily accuses of Farage and his ilk. I have no time for the DM and the crap it spouts, but likewise I have no time for the equivalent left/socialist harpings.
