The level is up on the Lark too, it reacts within 24hrs so we'll just have to wait and see. Phil

And for those of you on the Great Ouse from Bedford to Earith, Caution warning has been issued.

Strong stream advice back on the nene again. I love the way the EA do this system its soo brilliant.not like carts wen wen enforcement staff putting sticker on boats expecting you too move on in flood conditions or high waters.for people who don't know. On E A waters there's a red flag at each marina .when it goes up its not safe too travel

I went over to the boat last night, wasnt surprised it was back on today! We get the upper catchment flood water around 36 hours after they let it go at Bedford Road Sluice - they then tend to hold it in our section as there is not too much to flood in the middle Nene

The only drawback with SSA notification is its automated, occasionally the river may go on SSA early in the morning - always nice to get a wake up call from the EA telling me I can't go boating when at home safely tucked up in bed in the depths of winter!!!

The auto phone calls are really useful but you do need to enter your location correctly. I have mine entered as The Lark bur others in our marina have entered The River Great Ouse, and go around telling everybody we are going to flood. But the warning for the Ouse is for the bit upstream of Earith sluice, tidal and we are on the non-tidal bit between Earith sluice and Denver sluice. Phil
