Instead of spamming other posts with my refit jobs I'll keep it to here. Slipped the boat last week and put her on blocks - there are a few below the waterline jobs to attend to so it made sense to lay her up for the winter. The list:- Service/replace seacocks as necessary. DONE Remove gearbox - inspect drive plate, I've done this already and will be on the phone to R&D in the morning, I think I need harder shore inserts than it currently has.DONE - NO NEED Lift engine to facilitate skeg bolt replacement. DONE (And now back on its mounts) Replace skeg bolts, bit of faffing in that job! DONE Machine prop shaft coupling, an oversight when the new one was made two years ago means it's 7/8" too long, pictures will be better for that one. DONE Cut open cauliflower, fit second coil and drain cock. DONE Reposition across the beam of the boat DONE. Plumb in plate heat exchanger, alter cooling system pipework and domestic water. DONE Refit heads.Nearly done - will be part of the ongoing job list now! Hull paint and antifouling - DONE 👍 Along with other sundry jobs that I've forgotten or will turn up between now and spring. I will try to add pictures to help make things clearer. ALL DONE BAR FOR A FEW LOOSE ENDS. THANK FOOK FOR THAT! 🍻🍻👍💪🔨

That's not including the usual day to day drudgery of modern life! Some of it won't take long, things like paint we have down to a fine art. I'm dreading refitting the heads, I had a stab at it a few years ago, didn't get it quite finished then had to rip it apart to replace the broken teleflex steering cable. Going fot a redesign with a bit more thought for problems such as that

I don't know what most of that means so I'll just nod wisely and say "Yes, sounds like a good idea"

Us tin bath ditch dwellers believe all boats look alike. Any chance of a pic whilst she's out (when you've a minute of course). Rog And I haven't even got the knowledge to nod wisely. Whoosh over my head

Some stuff I could do without - particular the second coil and plate hear exchanger for the cauliflower and Webasto, but, as it had to come out for the skeg bolts I may as well take it to work and get it on the operating table - it's stainless steel so easy to make the mods I want.

Whoosh over my head Yes, no problem. I've some pictures from last time, will put them up later and do some of this year's relevant stuff at the weekend. I probably won't be able to match Wayne for his excellent thread keeping though

You would end up with the only pointable portta potti on the Nene.
