peterboat - emma is a stooge - doesn't exist - just someone from Canalworld trying to make Thunderboat look bad. I'd suggest the title of the thread is changed to: "Mike the Boilerman is a jolly good chap and an excellent plumber, thumbs up to him and all that!" to make this place seem a little more polished, and so that all Canalworld visitors (was it over 300 yesterday?) can see how refined and gentlemanly we all are. We might be 'down South' again one day and we might need MtB to service our Morco, who knows? Why don't you just forget the thread entirely and don't post on it ? It seems every page you and the usual suspects are going on and on about it. I am on record making my feelings known about the thread but also accept the site moderators decision. This is but one thread on a forum full of them and each time you post on it you give it more traction.Facts are facts and to a wide number of people here and elsewhere the guy comes across as a pompous knobber,if he has an issue with it let him join Thunderboat and correct the situation

And that's the great thing about this forum. Anyone can demonstrate their immaturity without a moderator stepping in to hide it.

I've never felt the need to hurl any abuse at him.

Well we're page 3 on Google for Mike the Boilerman which is a small but satisfying result. Well done lads. Maybe we should start a Mike the Boilerman Pompous Post award, modelled on Pseuds Corner in Private Eye. HIs sick-inducing pseudo-intellectual crap on the Genesis post would be a first contender; I feel the same. It always seemed to me they'd accidentally created a stereotype and spent thier musical life (as Genesis) follwoing and conforming to it as a winning formula. Their music never seemed to have any 'soul' for me. Hollow inside. And of course they were totally eclipsed by the likes of Yes and Wishbone Ash at the time... In fact Genesis seemed to me to occupy that weird space more recently moved into by Coldplay... music for people who want to like music but aren't quite sure what to like. Any normal person would have said " I preferred Yes and Wishbone Ash" but not Mike the Tosserman.. oh no.

I saw that post, realised it was a little intellectual for the plumber, so had a little look round. Google is obviously the plumbers friend.
