From way back in the 50's 500cc MC engined F3 "Bernie" has been in motor racing for 1 thing & 1 thing only the using of other peoples money to make money for "Bernie" he found he couldn't make it as a F3 driver so moved on to getting people to sponsor his running of various teams ending up with Brabham F1 team in the Lotus dominant days moved into F1 owner group management & has inflicted his rules & regs ever since F1 might recover if he stands down but to me the way it's heading it's up a cul de sac & has priced it's self out of of the market car on the grid wise except for the BIG company's The days of the " gentleman racer/ small company" buying & racing a works replica car as in other classes has been long priced out the pre 1990 races to me were much more exciting I only now watch Moto Gp which although "works" there is at least the chance of multiple passes for the lead or podium places more so in Moto3

Thanks, lot more detail in that. Be interesting to see Hamilton up against another team mate.

As Bodger alluded to a couple of weeks back it wouldn't have surpised me if Merc had offered Button a one year contract until other drivers came on the market. Always thought he's been one of the most under rated drivers on the grid (esp in the wet) although he admits himself the car has to be set up perfectly for him before he gets the best from it.

Did him well enough for 6 races in 2009

Ha ha, true, but that was a one off that Hollywood couldn't have scripted better. With the technological factors now can't really see that happening again although Haas very nearly promised in their first season but quickly lost ground.

The musical chairs haven't quite finished. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/38384982More interesting is the purging of Ron Dennis's men from McLaren. Poor old Jost Capito, jumped from the dying embers of the VW World Rally team ti kick start McLaren's resurgence, or maybe not!

m.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/38185846Conspiracy theories abound! For me, he played the numbers game and did just enough to win the WDC. Not a great champion, but a champion none the less. Verstappen to Merc anyone? Unless Red Bull have their drivers tied down watertight I can see josh at either Mercedes-Benz or ferrari with vettal joining Lewis. As much as I hate to say it as I love Williams. Such a plucky team. I can see Bottas fitting in at a top team. I can't say I'm sad to see rosberg go. He has no personality what so ever and a monotone annoying voice. I suspect he will end up driving for Mercedes in a different team like German touring etc. Seems I was right Bottas has joined lewis. Just read toto wolf's bit and it seems like they expect him to hit the ground running.

Not sure about the poison bit Gazza but yes indeed, interesting times ahead. Pretty close wouldn't you say? TOP DEFINITION Poison Dwarf A selfish, untrustworthy, deeply obnoxious or evil person of diminutive size, whose ostensibly unthreatening appearance allows them to fulfil their predisposition for causing unprovoked pain and suffering in an under-hand manner for anyone who has the misfortune to strike-up a friendship them.
