On Sunday Italy went to the people for a change in the constitution Renzo the Prime Minister promised to resign if the vote didnt go through! Well he has resigned as the people clearly dont want him or his policies so it might be election time and another member of the failed club might be leaving! Could the last one in turn the light off and pay the bill please

Things certainly look interesting .... their economy is in a pretty dire state. They don't seem to have much confidence in any of their politicians (Why do I not find that strange )

Italy is a perfect example of why PR doesn't work. You end up with a weak coalition government that achieves nothing, so they call an election with the same result... over and over again.

The BBC described the no vote as being populist. Populist, appears to be the replacement for 'bigot' and 'racist' as the word to insult people who do not agree with centrist liberal thinking.
It seems that liberals just don't learn. Brexit and Trump should have given them a clue that it's best not to treat people who think differently by labelling them in a broad brush derogatory way.
The BBC should be ashamed of themselves for using a negative stereotype to describe a group of people. Particularly so, when they go out of their way to prevent this kind of language being aimed at other, carefully selected groups.
