They are really good !! About 60p each from China Use several watts at 12v nominal and the led is packaged in an aluminium housing with a thread and a nut so easy to mount. There is a plastic lens which disperses the light so they are impressively effective. I'm putting them in all sorts of places one of the best is when I open the wheelhouse door it activates a reed switch so the entrance is lit up by one of these little lights. Also have one outdoors on a pir sensor which lights up back deck. And some red ones on the wheelhouse. And blue ones on another pir. I could go on.. They seem happy with the varying voltage (my charger does sometimes go up above 14v). I've had 3 red ones on 24/7 for experimenting and one has packed in but been on over a year non stop. They can be used with dimmers as well. I even found they clip into old fairground cabochon type lenses quite nicely and they use so little power its impressive. These lights pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=142045796329&alt=web I love 'em

Did you order the 10? Excellent value at 50p each. He says 'almost gone' so a few more from here should clear him out

Didn't need these little lights, but couldn't resist, so I've ordered 10 anyway, they may have to sleep outside as there's no room left Inside.

That's what I say to myself when I need more beer . I don't have to say things like that to myself, as I don't drink beer, or anything else containing alcohol either.
These lights that I don't need, but ordered anyway, are not likely to do any harm, I don't know about the beer.
If for one reason or another some needs me to go somewhere unexpected late at night by car, I can go and help them, without having to worry about the beers I may have had, and/or police controls.
Peter.

Very wise Anyway this is one of the lights I linked to clipped into an old fairground light. Going to put several of these round the back deck as I like them Attachments:

Thinking of noodles try this: teriyaki sauce = 2 tablespoons sugar, 6 tablespoons soy sauce, 6 tablespoons Mirin sauce - mix these. Cook chicken pieces, cook wok vegetables mix, cook noodles. Chuck noodles in wok and fry on HOT setting, chuck in vegetables and chicken. You can also use teriyaki sauce with fried salmon and rice. I wonder if anyone here has thought about getting a Chinese wife? Just imagine coming home from work to delicious food and sex

In 30 years' time they will be helping to fill a 'landfill' site and future generations will have to live with more shite that was made in China by slave labour. Nothing quite like wasting the Earth's resources.

I never understood this argument. Nothing can be made or unmade as far as I know Its all here already so you dig stuff out of the ground you make stuff with it you put it back in the ground when you have finished with it. Etc etc.
I don't really see where the problem is myself.
OK so there is the exploitation of humans angle but if you are on a mission to avoid that then you are going to have to live a very very basic life. Not a lot of people would be willing to do this.

Nothing quite like wasting the Earth's resources. Actually in the case of these particular lights the product is about 90%+ aluminium so it would probably go back to china be recycled into more cheap shit ten back here back there etc. Thereby keeping them in employment and making it less likely that they will turn up here in massive numbers seeking a better life.
