Unfortunately it has to be bigger than that, it's for battery cables. But I'll have a look at the screw fix catalogue.

thats kinda how I feel, I have seen this one before. It's just good to know it can actually do what it's suppossed to, before you buy. So thanks for that.

Wow !!! that price !!! my crimper you would have to put 2 noughts after !!! (Mark you it does go up to 620mm2 and it had to do one heck of a lot of 400mm2) I don't know how good some of these tools are that are around now (presumably from China) but if you only have to do a few crimps .... at that price !!!

It's a double edged sword, more pounds in your pocket, but more cash ultimately ending up in China

True .... but my crimper came from Germany !!! Re-badged from China
Peter.
The French had something going on a couple of years ago, to promote people to buy French products, everything had stickers on saying : "MADE IN FRANCE", but the funny thing was that these stickers were printed in Taiwan.

The "made in xxxxxx" title is interesting. It turns out you can buy something cheaply from China for £5, modify it into a useable product here and sell it for say £20 in the UK and it is "Made in England"

On the head there is something written which appears to be in German but is mostly unreadable. However on the inner edge of the handle it is clearly marked "Knipex" made in Germany
