I'm suspecting I set the amps that it would use to consider the battery fully charged too low, so that with the fridge and a few lights on it never considered itself charged, stayed in absorption at too higher voltage and buggered at least one battery. Is that even possible?

Is that even possible? Yes that's entirely possible. Thanks, I bet that's it then. I'd like to know before I replace the batteries, they were already down to approx 2/3 capacity, so if the good one is still in that condition I now have about 130ah. I think 200-250ah of batteries would be about right when I leave the marina in the spring. Meanwhile I'll finish this one off no doubt! I've reentered new capacity for the single battery, and adjusted it back from 1% of calculated capacity up to 4%. I hadn't noticed it failing to get to float, but then I'd grown confident and hadn't been looking. It does now anyway so if I kncker this one, it's something else.
