Trump and the USA would like few things more than to see the break up of a large trading block. All the talk of the UK going to the top of the list isn't aimed at us and is likely hot air. It's aimed at every EU country to encourage them to vote in governments in favour of leaving. Anyone who thinks the US will be easier to deal with than EU needs to pinch themselves.

I hope it does get easier I have an american car and am sick to death of the tarrifs added. Also over the years I have imported a few cars from there so anything that makes it easier gets my vote. I have said this on the other channel as well whats it got to do with us? The voting american public are sick to death of cheating politicians! and have voted for change If he does what he says he is going to do, things will get better around the world as we realise we dont have to buy cheap crap from third world countries! we can produce it ourselves, and cut out all those transport costs and pollution

The bottom line is that Donald Trump was voted President in an entirely transparent and democratic election, and if we wish to live in a democracy then we have to accept that the person elected may not have been the person we chose, but was the choice of the majority.

Hilary got more votes than he did... The same can happen in UK elections. If elected candidates reflected number of votes cast, we would have several dozen UKIP mps. I've never heard Hillary Clinton state that the presidential election was unfair in any way before.

Whatever his faults, I don't believe we can blame the Donald for their electoral system.
The only positive I can see out of this Brexit and Trump situation, is that Mrs May is (it would appear) being supported by Trump on trade, permitting her strong words on a hard Brexit, which in turn, I believe, put the fear of God into Europe.
The results are in, the decision was made for ' out ' and we need to move on, towards being an independent free trading nation again, not subservient to Europe.
Now, when I wake up I worry about all this, but a man can dream.

The majority voted for Hilary.

The majority of people who voted, voted for Clinton. But as in UK elections, neither Trump or Clinton got a majority of eligible voters.

I've never heard Hillary Clinton state that the presidential election was unfair in any way before. which was a pity. a repeat of Al Gore vs. Dubya which was disputed, to no avail. I watched a Rich Hall documentary about US presidential elections - made excellent viewing and showed how shallow the elections have been for centuries.

Ah that'll be why some clever clogs on Twitter posted 2 columns of alternative words to use rather than 'amazing' such as..'a blue ribbon moment'

I can't understand why everyone is so excited. He's president in a country where the president spends his time frustrated that his hands are tied by the rest of the political system. Anyone expecting huge change is merely showing how willing they are to suck up and repeat stuff they agree with no matter how unrealistic. Trump isn't a dictator, he's a figurehead.
