Earthing an immersion heater switch. So I already have an immersion heater, operated by a simple on off switch with a red light to show it's on. I wish to add an electronic timer before the on/off switch (assuming 240v supply -> electronic timer -> existing on/off switch -> existing immersion heater) & I have chosen a Timeguard NTT03 Linky. But after reading reviews it would seem the timer has no earth terminal. But obviously I dont want to break the earth connection, so I was wondering is this the right thing to do? I'm thinking the earth wire (from 240V supply) into this terminal on this specific back box, & then the earth wire that continues on into the existing on/off switch into this same terminal Or have I completely misunderstood it, bearing in mind I'm no electrician.....

The time clock doesn't need an earth bond, your proposal is correct, to maintain earth conductor integrity use the terminal in the pattress.

No problem, remember though - Red to red. Black to black. Blew to bits.
