I've had some hard working BMW bikes too a R60/2 with Earles front suspension (lovely bike) a K100RT, a R1050RT and my last one sold 8 years ago a K75RT which I prefered to the K100, less vibrations with the 3cylinder and a very smooth ride.
I'm sad to say, no more motorbikes for me anymore, but I'm still enjoying seeing nice bikes.
Peter.

Talking bout bikes, this one, which isn't-and will never be mine, looks like a very practical all day-everyday bike, doesn't it ? Peter.

Just found a photo of my last bike, a 1995 BMW K75RT, on my way from Belgium where I bought the bike of her first owner, an old guy (same age as I'm now, but I'm not old), with only 19.000km (<12.000Mls) on the clock, taking her to France were I'm living. Peter.

Met a bloke the other day who had a Yamaha MT03. 660cc single. Nice bit of kit I thought. Under 200kg but may be a bit long for the back deck.

I've not ridden motorbikes but I do like the idea of a big single. a relative had an XT350 which seemed a good bike also.

I feel there is something not quite right about a bike with too many cylinders !

You get bored of having the shit shook out of you Best bet is to bolt them in a a motox/enduro sidecar, everything rattles and shakes so the engine just blends into the background.

Good tip I didn't consider that. My ideal carriage would be a diy electric bike capable of 25mph but unfortunately they are illegal and as I have a driving license it is a bit too risky as you can get points.
