I wouldnt have either a pumpout or cassette in any boat I owned for to many things to go wrong, you are always emptying them and they are so crap! No composting loos are the future for any sensible person Even if I don't agree with the pushing of electric cars (pun intended ), I join you here for 100 %. Haven't got them on my boats, as the systems that are installed do work as they should, but after the slightest problem they'll be replaced by compost loos. Peter.

RIGHT - back to Gazza's FIRST comment on this subject - I have today, spent 130 quid on the asap butyl pipes!!! - time to get rid of that faint odour in the wardrobe.

Quite funny reading this thread again.
Can't help noticing a few missing posters which the forum has suffered from losing.

A few late observations.
Handy is mineral oil, for oiling your minerals not your minimals.
The tank is upside down!
You should have put a pump out fitting on both sides of the boat.
Your wiring is atrocious.
Another vote for a Blakes Sea Loo pumping into a sealed tank, only vent on the roof, no carbon filters, no smell, no chemicals at all. Water is from the basin grey water storage tank, no sea cock. Doesn't flood the bowl.

I don't think it's upside down - The tank is symmetrical - ie when the "other way up" it looked exactly the same... I could be wrong As for wiring... it's all neat and fixed into place now AND has a nice protective wooden panel (secured with only 1 screw for ease of access) A panel WHICH has to come off when I do the pipes as at the same time, I'm going to wire in a separate power socket (from the loo feed) for a guest coming on later in the year with a 12v cpac (the forced air breathing machine thingy for sleep apnea) which needs a bigger feed than the currently supplied phone charging socket. He'll be ok and should live IF his wife doesn't flush the loo during the night and steal his power! ;-)

Seen pro fitted worse than yours.
