You could have just sent them straight to your junk mail folder?? - then they would get auto deleted after a pre-set period (assuming yahoo mail works in a similar way to GMail) Perhaps that is possible, I wouldn't have the foggiest how to go about it and have no interest in looking into it tbh. Setting up another account was easy enough and has had the desired result! I was just responding to your comment about being 'forced' to log on to CWDF. If you marked the mail as junk you wouldn't have needed to even look at the CWFD site let alone log on to it. Anyway you are sorted now.

I'm pretty reluctant with that sort of stuff, I need my 70 year old dad to sort the job out Creating another email was the most obvious solution to me, but as ever, there is always more than one way to skin a cat!

I don't mind looking at Canalworld - might be something useful on the Stoppages section, or some technical/practical advice. It is peculiar all this, unique in the history of the canals and boating, and I sometimes wonder what Delta thinks of his creation, it must surely be one of the strangest years in his life. I still think Thunderboat has a future coming and none of us know what this is going to look like by next Autumn, it could be anything. I mean the writings/content/members, not the outlay - and I'm hoping the outlook stays as it is. The outlay? Shit are they going to start charging money for it. The fact that canalworld apparently has a "hate" option (according to phil70) does tempt me rather.

Not been to have a look, never will. head in the sand? No, I declared my unhappiness on CWDF over ban-gate and the aftermath and said I would leave and not return. . I wished them well and hoped they could turn it around but have not been back since. as MM says CBA

Telemachus can tell us for sure (he has a firm grip on things over there) but I believe they've just made greenies into heart shapes. I don't think there's any hate or dislike button. I think for that, you still have to have a chat with your mates and then arrange to have people banned. Could be wrong Rog

There was a red mark option before as well as the green one. I know because I got one.

What is all this rubbish about a 'hate' option.,
They have obviously simply reserected the 'vote up' and 'vote down' option.

This is why I suggested that the opposite could be a 'hate' as this is generally viewed as the opposite of 'love'. As in "love hate relationship" and that kind of thing. See what I meant now ??

I don't think old fart comes into it, the only ones who seem happy with it are those that like sitting in dark rooms getting far too well acquainted with silicon chips and the cyber world. The rest of us treat it like flushing the toilet - we don't care much what goes on behind the scenes - all that matters is that when the button is pressed it works with minimal user input

It's just as well they failed else you'd still be wearing your hair shirt and have a wardrobe empty except for your other hair shirt.
