Very sociable. My latest wheeled transport is one of these Have had an hour on it but not got the balance yet. When I do sort it I will bracket a small brushless motor friction drive to it so I don't have to kick. Because I am lazy. Yes I know its ridiculous Now that looks good for pelvic floor muscles and if you use poles to propel yourself I'm sure it would help increase the wrist muscles.

I prefer one with a good view as for that scooty thing, you'll get one big leg, doesnt look like you can put both feet on. I have to agree, a bike from with you have a good view is even better, as I remember of this bike I used 1 afternoon in 1981(photo shows me when I was still a handsome young guy)

I didn't really know where to put my rant so it'll do here as its about lycra clad red speeding devil who doesn't have a bell and nearly run me over not once but twice....he turned round to try again..well guess it was really his turn around point but.....there was I having a go at upping my fitness level by sauntering with speed cos have this 100k over a weekend to complete and this idiot misses me by inches..then weaves past elderly woman and seconds later heads straight for me again... And it that wasn't bad enough I wander down hill round blind bend to be faced by yapping terrier with its equally stupid woman owner shouting...."don't bite Jack..dont bite"...great...fab...obviously unmuzzled..obviously off lead cos there are right idiots around here...however I may not watch much TV but I have seen a few dog programmes where high pitched excited..'theres a good dog', etc etc ad nauseum works to re direct aggression to waggy tail syndrome and said terrier became best buddy until nervous idiot owner put it on lead....then guess it picked up on her fear and transformed into hound from Hades.....apparently had I been male of the species then I would defy have been bittern....now if u have a dog that u know will bite and its off lead..you should muzzle...and also keep under control... Now on the fitness front..I may as well put everything in one post...took me 5 hours to err run? 16.4 km....which means the target of 50 km in a day will, take me.....maybe......at least....over 15 hours.....hmmmm...4 weeks to go....

Hello patty, I'm happy to read that this friend of yours the "lycra clad red speeding devil" didn't run into you, he surely never bothered studying-or even reading the following :
canalrivertrust.org.uk/enjoy-the-waterways/cycling/cycling-faqs
It may be safer to walk around with a strong and easily visible stick, as a stick between the spokes of a bicycle which is going much too fast, will make it stop rather quickly, much quicker than the best bicycle breaks on the market, but seeing a pedestrian armed with a stick like that will most likely make them slow down, so you don't have to show them the quickest way to stop their bicycle, and maybe that will make to both happier and more attentive to each other.
I didn't want to say it, but I think I have to anyway, you must be mad, just to please your sis to run 100k, if it's really not anything you fancy doing, if you don't feel the need to show yourself that you can do it, then just don't do it.
Peter.

Well little sis will 'encourage me' to speed up..it was something I agreed to do in a rash moment of weakness forgetting that her norm..half marathons/massive cycle rides/open water swims more than adequately prepares her for this must do event in her eyes. TBH i think she's got a bit of an issue with the aging process and has to keep proving fitness...me I womble along life's pathway, I dance on holidays and some exercise but not to that extent. The house renovation has taken all my time and energy. When she said it'd be nice to do stuff together I envisaged a wander through the park/woods/by towpath followed by the coffee n cake..Its called 'Race(ha ha) for the Stones'...I am gonna give it a go, especially as we've already had 'words' so feel I'd better....sigh...so 100 k over 48 hours = 2 and a bit k per hour...now thats not so bad ......

I hope the temperature drops a bit for your running feat (or should that be feet) All this talk of fitness tires me terribly. A while ago I bought a book on weightlifting but so far I have not been able to lift it !

Well my feet haven't apparently quite got the right trail shoes...must haves or so Ive been told.....I did buy at great expense(£20) from a discount place some trainers with grips like what I woz told to get but these had memory foam innards...like walking on a bed......maybe I can sleep walk it.
On a totally different topic my neighbour told the guy that cuts my grass...I had to give up on that lawnmower and find a man that didn't mind helping out those tasks I just cannot do...anyway where was I ...ah yes my neighbour told my gardener to cut down MY THISTLES that I planted purposely to attract the bees and butterflies..in MY GARDEN...what a blooming cheek..ok so just maybe they are very tall and just maybe theres a few...but they are MY THISTLES...fortunately he didn't and hopefully won't cos I told him they were prize blooms(he knows nowt about whats a weed and whats a flower).....

Thistles are beautiful plants. So what if they are weeds so is Bindweed but its a nice plant to have if it does not do any harm.

Weeds have rights too! But they always remind me of the Young Lady from Leeds who swallowed a packet of seeds.
