I was listening to BBC radio 2 this morning. Firstly a report about how badly the police and NHS are doing due to ...wait for it.....under funding. Come on guys pay more tax....!
Then there was an urge to get us all to check out our unresolved PPI claims, followed by a big spin about how well SnapChat are doing.
So the meaning of life according to the BBC is to work harder, carry on chasing lost causes and waste your time talking shit...

They used to say that BBC tv was better because it didn't have adverts.
They spend a fortune on commercials for their own programmes......using our bloomin' money!
The one that really gets me is when they have a trailer for the news!!!
Don't get me started........this is why I prefer books.

To shut us down and let them get away with it...

Got fed up with the biased reporting of news on the BBC' or even worse if particularly difficult stories (i.e. the one with video footage of Muslims tearing a Christmas tree down in a French shopping centre),not reporting them at all I only tend to watch Euronews these days better, but not much!!.

JohnV bloody spot on. "Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by an illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous media that believes it is possible to pick up a turd by the clean end"

For me it's more about on just concentrating on those close to us rather than getting sucked into the spin. The trouble is, it's not easy to get away from it especially when your mates rant on about it in the pub. Maybe Trunp is effectively the start of a new type of revolution. I wonder if he belongs to an old boys network? ....and I wonder what they think of him?

Some excellent reporting from the BBC here...
"no ones quite sure who controls [Bitcoin] or controls the supply"
Jesus fucking christ, could he not even Google something before attempting to report on it.

Seems apt that a BBC radio thread is full of grumpy old men (ok, some of you are just in training)! I'm listening to Ed Reardon on r 4 extra, which is apt. Anyway, picky pedant curmudgeon hat on, if you don't have a telly you don't pay owt towards it, you get it for free. I find channel hopping keeps me happy, mostly between r4, 4x,r6,r3. Watch v little telly, better half has narcolepsy and falls asleep to easily.

Agree about the grumpies.
I used to suffer convenient narcolepsy when I was travelling about the world. Put me in a piece of transport and I would fall asleep as soon as the movement started, just like a baby. Planes, taxis, trains, buses, even company vehicles if I had a driver. Brilliant way to arrive feeling refreshed.
