I was walking to the shop for my midday beer rations when a bloke in an uber taxi said "excuse me, yoolikebeer?" I said yes I like beer. He said "take beer inside back door. Take other one as well". So I got two cans of "beer"
Oh dear its carling - but I'll drink it anyway I'm not fussy really.
Just thought I'd mention it as it gave me a little giggle which is always good.

I wouldn't call carling beer, but there you go. Quite right. It isn't beer. The taxi driver used the word beer. I put it in quotes above as its the word he used but it is actually lager. I believe the driver may be in need of instruction in the English language as a lot of Uber drivers are. |

Of course lager is beer, except when it`s pilsen, when it is known as horse piss.
