A ship engine failed and no one could fix it. Then they brought in a chap with 40 yrs on the job. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. After looking things over, the guy reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. The engine was fixed! 7 Days later the owners got his bill for 10k. 'What?!' the owners said 'You hardly did anything.Send us an itemized bill.” the reply simply said Tapping with a hammer. .£2 Knowing where to tap. .£9998 Don't underestimate experience.

Well it's half of a joke. In the full version the bill is just for £1,000. The customer complains that the bill is so high just for tapping with a hammer and suggests he could have done that himself, so asks for it to be itemised. The new bill lists: £2 for tapping with a hammer, £998 for knowing where to tap.

I'm suspicious that it says he tapped it with a hammer and it suddenly started. I guess the fault was somewhere in the starting system.

What's the cure for water on the brain? A tap on the head!
That'll be £299 thank you.
