Apparently the European Court has ruled that employers DO have a right to ask workers to remove religious related clothing such as head scarves. And a bloody good thing too ! Its not an anti muslim thing at all -well it shouldn't be- I would not want the person behind the till to be dressed as a nun either. I wonder how many more have to die in the name of God - whatever his/her stripe. I also wonder how many more generations it will take to finally rid the world of all that make believe and mumbo-jumbo? I drove past the Kingdom Hall in Corby on Sunday just before 10am - I was stunned to see how full the carpark was, the traditional churches seem to struggle for a flock, but the weirdo cult based God botherers seem to be well supported

I avoid anyone wearing religious symbols and that includes crucifixes. In my experience the more religious a person in, the more hatred they have in their hearts. My aunt and uncle are religious nutters and they would sooner buy a starving African a bible than a bowl of rice.
It's interesting to note that if Jesus had been born in the USA some 2000 years later, churches would have an electric chair or a gas chamber stuck on the front instead of a cross.

Love the text at the end, I'm sure the church has manipulated the population with religious icons more than enough to reinforce it's economic and social power!

Just realised this is a european court judgement so maybe it won't apply to the UK as we are apparently leaving the eu? I currently live in an area (east London) where there are quite a few walking letterboxes (I think they call them Burkas but I call them letterboxes). Anyway I don't like it, it is blatantly offensive to any open minded ordinary human being I'm sure the UK will never dare to ban these garments. They have apparently been banned in France but France is much more of a secular country. Wearing a scarf is interesting. My mum used to wear a scarf as she had thin hair but she was not remotely religious. I think its pretty obvious when its religious but it could get complicated if someone was wearing a scarf for another reason. Get rid of heavy religious shit definitely yes. For fucks sake I have been ordered to take a fekkin baseball cap off in silly pubs. Motorcyclist has to take off their helmet yet you can go in a bank with a letterbox balaclava and its ok. ?

When I come to power, I am going to ban anyone living more than ten miles away from Old Trafford from wearing a Manchester United football shirt. I will adopt an educational approach at first, by having wardens issuing fixed penalty tickets along with leaflets explaining where their local football club (Exeter, Gillingham etc) play but for a second offence I will have them guillotined.

I like to go to work dressed as a teapot, as that's my religion (The Flying Teapot, all hail to it!). I expect now I shall have to remove my spout and lid. Gutted.

I went to a Jehovah's Witnesses meeting once, just to look. It was boring. I also went to a Mormons sevice, out of curiosity. It was diabolically boring. We went to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve in St Mary's, Chirk, and it was OK.

Occcaionaly if someone gets some inspiration they say a few words. ...bit like being on the boat with the wife really...
