I'm trying to upload some documents. It doesn't seem to be a problem up to 1mb. However, some of the documents are over. They are all Pdf files. Some of the larger ones I could get a link to, but not all. I haven't got the foggiest idea where I got some from.
All the documents are related to subjects doing the rounds and others are the Waterways Acts, for ready reference, if some have never seen them or haven't found the right site to get them. There are documents relating to CC'ing enforcement and procedures; Houseboat Licensing and rules; summary of the NAA; Consultation papers; Abolition of the Public Body; Transfer of Powers; Licence Terms and Conditions; and so on.
The British Waterways act 1971 is 6.5Mbs; it comes as a Pdf, as a collection of image files of text documents. This is one file though for which a link can be created. Transport Act 1962 is about 2Mbs, again, could probably get a link created.
Any way to overcome the 1Mb limit on attachments?

The limit is set at 1mb as we have limited capacity for storing files before I have to start paying for it. You can find places to host the files free by searching " free pdf host" on Google. If that doesn't work out I can temporarily lift the 1mb cap once I get to a computer. I can't do it from my mobile.

I could set up a thunderboat document holding site if your interested. I would just set it up as a web page where posters could store info. Then link here. Thunderboat doc store or something.

Thanks Delta9, and thanks Jenlyn113.
I've uploaded and it's untidy. I'm open to alter its place and find a better way. Don't want to cause any expense to you, Delta9. Linking to a holding site sounds good. These documents are for reference for anyone, if they can keep their eyes open. Some of them require a bit of determination, but at least pertinent sections can be accessed.

Talking of expense, would it be rude to ask about how to contribute financially to Thunderboat? Something for Delta's time and trouble and general operating costs?

Delta has to make a discrete suggestion... how to do it. It must be remembered, though, that any contribution would not make anyone exempt from the Wrath of Delta for making foolish postings. Brown-nosing cannot guarantee Knighthoods on this site! Haha!

Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it but I'd rather not accept any financial contributions if possible. I can keep to cost of running it very low by using free services where possible. The best way to help out is to continue to spread word about the site and help get us new members Cheers.

If I set it up with an email address that docs etc can be sent to. They can then be directly added to the site. I'll give delta9 the password etc so he can label the sections.

Hello, fellas. Not sure if anyone is waiting for me to do something, like coming up with a name for the document locker, but I'm not fussed about a name. Thunderdocs is fine. If it can somehow be a subsection of Thunderboat, that would be useful. If it remains as a thread, it will eventually disappear over time; not the most useful arrangement as a ready reference. What's next?

Excuse me for expecting a reply from either Delta9 or Jenlyn113, but you were offering to help with setting up a documents locker. If it cannot be done, I can take it. If it can be done, maybe I could do it myself, with some guidance on how to do it; along the lines Jenlyn113 was suggesting.
Thank you.
