Well here we go again. The BBC still persist in their fight for an anti Brexit agenda and we are paying for it. Well I'm not but....
Apparently the farms will go bust without helpers from abroad. Well have you seen a poor farmer? Have you seen anyone driving this agenda being poorin financial terms?
What a load of f...ing bollocks.

...sorry still watching this edition of Countryfile. Absolutely shocked (but not surprised) by BBC bias. Politically neutral? No f'ing way! I can't think of a reason for being so pro Europe. Maybe it's something to do with elite funding. A bit like football etc I know, that will teach me to watch TV.

Avoid the BBC I remember when there were the fuel protests and farmers blockaded fuel depots and it caused aggravation for ordinary people wanting to go shopping. Some tory tosser farmer was interviewed about it saying how terrible it was that fuel was so expensive. While sitting in his large kitchen with the aga going in the background. Meanwhile people are wondering if there will be enough food in the shops the next day. Large scale farmers are just parasites.

There was migrant labour at harvests well before there was an EU and there will be well after. Talk about bloody scaremongering ........ As you say, the BBC forgot it's mandate to be an even handed dispenser of news, years ago, it's bias all the way

I'm hoping for the end of the 'minimum wage is the maximum wage' ethos.
People need to earn a living.

I agree, and I'm hoping for an end to this ethos that doing manual work on a farm is not a 'proper' job. It's far more worthy than producing crap we don't need or sitting in an office pushing buttons. Apparently working with your hands is very therapeutic. If farm salaries were more attractive, we wouldn't need to import people.

Farmer goes into kitchen and sees his wife standing by stove and puts his round her waist cupping her bosom in them: "If you had four of these we wouldn't need the cow..." Wifey turns round and grabs his cock: "And if you had two of these we wouldn't need the farmhand!"

I don't see where the hell you are coming from ...... there has never been a move or a suggestion to stop foreign seasonal agricultural workers ...... they just will no longer have the right to stay afterwards. and as for your comment regarding nursing homes etc .... before the "free movement of labour EU" immigration was allowed for skills needed ...... anyway a proportion of such staff are coming from non EU areas. All you need is something like the American green card system. The whole thing is just pure scaremongering by a devious news organisation

So who is going to pick the veg, care for you in the nursing home etc. Estate dwelling unemployed scrotes? Well that's another problem with our current greed based system. You don't have to go back that far to a time where the 3 generations were in the same household. Dad went out to work. Mum looked after granny and the kids. Granny and the kids entertained eachother. Now mum also goes out to work to pay for 'childcare' and granny's house is sold off to pay 'investors' for her care in a home. Ok, I know that's a simplistic view, but ironically many of those from Eastern cultures who have settled over here have retained that family ethos. This is what happens when people are treated more as a commodity. I remember when they renamed the 'Personnel dept' to 'Human resources' at work many years ago. Just about sums it up really.

Who is going to wipe your arse in the home if there is no migration, as the op objects to it. Countryfile farmer was asking for clarification of the system you are proposing, migrants coming in to work in areas of need, some of which isn't seasonal. Who is going to pay the taxes to pay for our state pensions if we don't allow migration, when the majority of the population is elderly, the baby boomer generation. As for devious reporting, Laura Keunsberg was nowhere to be seen!
