Apparently the new £1 coins are being introduced to combat forgery, but the lady in Morrisons at Stone told me yesterday that there are already forged polymer £5 notes in circulation.

Incidentally I noticed the new lock on the ASDA trolleys take any of the following ,the current £1 coin, the new one and a €1 one.........
I wonder if ASDA know something we don't.

Trolleys are an absolute bargain, I can't think of anywhere else you could get four castors and some weld mesh for a quid.

When you cross from Port to starboard (or vice versa) in the engine room, you walk through a narrow gap between the valve chest and the pulley and belts of the main engine. I have been trying to work out how I can guard the belts when getting passed with the main engine running ......... do you want the castors ?

View AttachmentSatan's wheelbarrow was constructed out of a flatbed trolley from a large nationwide diy chain. The castors were ditched and an axle to take the front and rear wheel of the sidecar fitted in the middle of the chassis. Made carting the fuel, spares and drivers packed lunch over rough ground a million times easier

Easy choice. On the theme of alternative bbq's. We have carried out extensive research into what makes the best homebrew log burner/fire pit. Those Chinese chimneas are crap, a calor gas bottle with a gutted motorbike silencer for a flue is not that efficient. Stainless steel kitchen sinks are OK but the absolute dogs bollocks answer is an old washing machine drum, stick three legs on it and you have a highly efficient outdoor heat source for next to no money.

Having stood around many camp fires, a washing machine drum is useless for keeping warm, all the heat goes upwards. Very efficient for burning stuff granted and ok for cooking but hopeless as a people warming device which is a great shame as the idea is so neat.
