I now need to Add Peterboat to this as he stopped by the other week and shared a BBQ ... well I say shared... it was them doing the bbqing - I just provided the Glamour!
OH and hopefully if Foxy and Witchy get through that broken lock, they can be added imminently too :-)

Saltysplash, gazza, kris and Johnv to this Summer's haul so far. Not met many boaters 'cos there are so very few boats on the move up North. Have not met any gits, only nice people. Nice boater waited for us in Beal and had the lock ready and gates open for us, he had overtaken us earlier.

We've met a couple from this site....Dogless (Rog & Jane & their beautiful flower array on top of their boat) this summer, Jenlyn (Steve) & his lovely partner and I must say he is a really nice person and ever so helpful & generous. From the other site we've met: Ray T. and although he was very nice and helpful when we first bought the boat, seems to have a real hate for WB's now Capt Fizz who is a #1 guy and a great welder, Terry & his lovely boat Ollie Keeping Up (Alan) nice gentleman I "think" we've met Delta 9 when buying an achnor from him when we were in Braunston Marina?? whether it was him or not, he was a nice guy David Schwnezer (sp) bought one of his oil lamps - I love the lamp we've also met Alan & Kath Fincher - I hate to admit it, but we've had them on the boat for coffee & sweets - that won't be happening again any time soon:) I'll leave it at that, my Dad always said if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Oh, we've met Barry as well, the one with Ricco the dog...same rule applies I've met Alan Fincher too at a CWDF banter. And briefly spoke to Kath too, i would happily chat with Kath again but tbh i found Alan boring as hell. I dont profess to be the most interesting person to meet but i suspect he could talk a bloody glass eye to sleep. Barry I have met too and he seemed OK, better for getting to know better i suspect.

In answer to the original question, I think the only thunderboater I have met is Boatman who did our BSC exam a few years back now.
Edit PS forgot I've met Albion too, shared a pint with him in the Narrow boat pub in Skipton a few years back now, along with Mrsmelly from CWDF.

Of course, we met Betty and her young man. They were lovely and very considerate. Mind you there was a large swarm of black midges following Betty about Jenlyn and his lady are equally lovely. They have a belting boat, but I particularly like his horn. Rog

I met Mr Stabby and his lock slave, briefly. Had my Kevlar vest on, so I survived.
