Our storage is currently full up as so many people upload their images here instead of using a free image host. Most of the images seem to be smiley faces and daft pictures of foxes so I'm not sure why people are downloading them from elsewhere and hosting them again on this sites storage instead of just embedding them or putting them on a free host. I've disabled attachments until I get time to either sort through it all and delete the crap or increase the storage.

Is there a fairly simple way of people deleting some/all their attachments? If so I'm sure people would help out.

Can there be a per-user limit set up?

2. Is there an option to pay for more space? At least, as a 'one off' - and then in future we'll know to go a bit easier on the storage limits. I'm happy to pay something towards that, if of any help. I think things are fine as they are with the smileys and pics, I mean, I like how the system works as it has been. ditto

1. Are the photos I've posted taking up 'space'? You have to realise, few of us are knowledgeable about how computers work. I was laughed at (by mjg a few times as well as others) on Canalworld for posting in my meagrely way, by copying the relevant lines of what someone had said and not simply copying the whole caboodle (as I have often done here with loads of lines of unecessary text when replying). Yes, it was all "Haha! Foxy thinks he's saving bandwidth". I've made a note not to post any pictures for now (until given the green light). 2. Is there an option to pay for more space? I have temporarily disabled attachments, so you won't be able to take up any more space. Smileys can be hosted on a free image host, or at least just upload each one once and re-use it. There is no need for the storage at all really so I can't see any point in paying for more, just use free image hosts.
