Don't know if thats your own 4x4 and caravan Martin, that is some length to manoeuvre.I don't believe I could relax driving that. It is and yes it does need care. The 'van is the maximum length allowed on the UK roads but not as wide as it legally could be. In France because of the combined weight we are governed by lower speed limits that govern HGV's. If I had a newer licence I wouldn't be able to tow it without an additional test. On site it's actually easy because we can un-hitch and manoeuvre the 'van a bit like a remote control toy. It makes it easier. You can just see the mover in front of the front wheels. Though you do need to keep your reversing skills up in case it breaks down. Moving by hand without the car or the mover is virtually impossible because of the twin wheels.

What do you tow that with Martin,it looks like one of those Japanese jobs,I ask because I have contemplated a motorhome as opposed to a caravan, but a friend said with parking costs and height barriers I would probably want a trailer with a Smart Car.

It's a Vauxhall Antara. It looks far Eastern or Japanese I agree, but then it is built for General Motors (Vauxhall) in South Korea and has an italian built Diesel engine to add to the mix! The whole motorhome V caravan debate is an interesting one. There is little doubt for continental use a Motorhome is a better option than a 'van and a car (Lots of towns in France have free parking grounds or Aires as hey are called for example). We dismissed one in the end because of the amount of holidaying we still do in the UK. We are taking the 'van to Italy this summer though. Horses for courses a 'van suits us a Motrorhome suits others.

I upload images to imgur, but don't use the app just the website. For some reason the app is crap. Then copy and paste the bbcode into the thunderboat thread.

Grrrrr still won't let me do it, I think the problem is me combined with trying to do it on a phone. Anyway I'll try Again later I've got to do something else now. Yup, I use Flickr and while it's great for some things, you can't get a forum-usable link when using a phone. Note that to work the link has to end with .jpg. Using Flickr on a PC is much easier - just click on the export button and choose BB. Tony

It doesn't work on a phone, but I manage to do it on an iPad. Use the website through a browser not the app.
