Not unexpected I know, and not done as he perhaps would have wished, but well deserved and now the most successful British driver of all time. Having followed F1 since the mid 80's I do think he's up there with the likes of Senna and the other greats, although I'm aware he has his fair share of detractors. In my humble opinion he's definitely a better driver than Vettel and certainly deserves at least an equal number of championships, but hopefully a couple more...π Great drive from Verstappen, definitely a future champion and certainly exciting to watch. Congrats to Lewis on a job well done, here's to the next oneππΎπ»

Sorry it's boring. Something Vettel is having trouble doing. No shame in winning the WDC by numbers, Prost would of had no trouble with that at all ππ»π Well done to the guys and girls at the factory in Brackley and tge engine plant at Brixworth who are all ready hard at it on the 2018 engine In other news we had a Welshman on the top spot of the podium at Wales rally GB, Good solid drive by Elfyn Evans on the perfect tyre for the job. A Cumbrian with some backing by the good old US of A claimed the WRC constructors title while a Frenchman wrapped up the WRC WDC for a fith time. A good weekends motorsport all in all.

I'm not a fan of motor sport, but I love it when any Brit is world champion in any sport.
(I'll make an exception for 'Strictly' of course)
Well done.

I'm with MJG it's a dull sport. The best car would win with any number of drivers steering it. Hamilton gets to drive it because he works very hard for his sponsors, he's a non-stop social media worker.

My money next year is on max. As long as they have a decent engine.

I enjoyed watching Alonso and Hamilton having a good old-fashioned dice around the bends without damaging each other's cars; contrasts with anyone trying to legally get past Vettel - push, shove and damage cars seems to be his religion. Nico Rosberg used to be similar, as was Schumaker (remember Damon Hill in Australia?) - it must be a German thing.

I was going to watch the Mexican grand prix but I did some painting on the boat earlier and I decided to watch the paint dry instead.
