I’ll proof read it and send you the corrections in the week when I’m in front of a laptop not an iPad

Reads ok apart from the spelling..will leave Alyson to advise you of them...when are you planning to start taking passengers..I have read the thread but cannot remember if you've put it in...(age thing) we hope to "begin" 10th April next year... I doubt we'll have any bookings by then so will set off on our planned trips anyway in case we do get some late ones... I'm currently working on 2019's route which might be more successful as the site will have been "out there" a while longer by then. We've put April and OCtober (although as yet I've not gotten any October on line) as single supplement free months... mainly because we know a few single older people and it's always irked me that they get rinsed, just because they're widdows/widdowers - same goes for anyone single to be truthful - a solo traveller on our boat will be a rest for us anyway as it only takes one of us to keep them entertained so the other one can get on and do jobs/admin work etc.

no - please do highlight spelling and typos - I'm rubbish at proof reading my writing as my brain sees what I've written, RATHER than what is there if you follow... I'm going to bung a bit under " about" with a photo of us together that might make it obvious - without shouting about it... I mean, whilst folk are on, it's not like we'll be sharing a bed lol. I know it's not what you have in mind but you could corner a market in well off well scrubbed gay couples and whack your prices right up. 👍 Rather than cutting out what this thread has condemned as "over fussy", go for it big time and see what happens. I hope you're being tongue in cheek here... I can't imagine anything worse than 2 sets of well scrubbed benders in the same place... - no thanks... I think we'd prefer scruffy real people rather than mincers .

Couple of points, when you were talking about trading licence, you didn't mention the higher level bss you'll need. Also, don't kick your guests out at Hebden, it's lovely scenery over the top to littleborough, and they can work the locks over summit for you. Canals - the outdoor gym. I'll get to say hello, if we don't get down to Stanley Ferry before then.

Canals - the outdoor gym. I'll get to say hello, if we don't get down to Stanley Ferry before then. That should be ok as I prepared the boat for the non-private BSS in the first place - I only got the recreational one "done" as I was a bit wary about the vagueness of the certificate of conformity and whether the insurance would cover us if you follow... In THEORY, it'll just be a case of getting the examiner back (he was pre-warned) to redo the BSS - which we're not going to do until CRT confirm they are ok with the risk assessments and business plan we'll submit ... trying to leave them all until march time so we dont "throw away" too much of the existing recreational license that is already paid up until September. The current plan is to have Hebden as a change over point - we'll spend a few days there before the next people join .. although there is the chance of us not having a booking that next week in which case we'll just plod on , on our own anyway - we're happy boating just the 2 of us whatever.

Keep in mind, Jim, that we'll be off to Stanley Ferry in early June, welcome to join us. Then we'll be up to Leeds and to Gargrave as quick as we can. We'll be out to play around xmas, are you coming up to Hebden or further? There's trouble at the Skylight Circus Arts Mill at the moment, business manager has resigned due to ill health, Noreen and I are doing his job, fundraising and other admin stuff, to keep the company going while we re-recruit, so not sure how long, how much, has to be done over the next 6 months. So we are playing everything by ear at the moment. Likely to do a run down to Stanley Ferry March/april, though not easter. We are currently planning a performance by our 13+ group and Silver circus 55+ group, summat topical, how young and old interact, over the easter hols. Christmas informal show is Scrooge, kids from all the regular groups , guess who's playing Scrooge. For anyone who is interested, Skylight Circus has a new website, www.skylightcircusarts.com , just gone live, still tweaking a few bits.

just thought I'd share that we've now got 3 bookings... 1 full week and 2 short trips... the latest of one came from the listing on hotelboating.co.uk (which admittedly I had to pay 260 quid for)
