Yes Kris that's a priority, a non-working diesel genny is almost as useless as a non-working Mastervolt charger, but if all is well once I've received the parts, I should be able to fix the genny, as I'm more familiar with engines than with electrickery mysteries. Peter. it is annoying when things stop working, without any visable reason why. Although I'm pretty sure your charger will work when plugged into the mains/a bigger generator. I’m not so sure, because typically with these Kipor generators if you overload them, they just instantly trip out and as far as I can tell, that’s not happening.

Yes Nick that's what they do, as I made the mistake in the dark to push on the wrong button of the garage charger, with was the position in which it's giving extra starting power, and then there was nothing anymore, the Kipor kept running, but nomore power supply. I had to stop the genny and start again as that did the re-set, and after I pushed the right button on the garage charger all was back to normal. That means to me that the way things are, the Mastervolt doesn't overload the genny, probably also because there's no power coming out, only enough to light the Bulk Charge light. Peter.

Peter. I've had quite a few battery chargers give up the ghost for no apparent reason. But I wouldn't give up on yours Peter till you've tried it on the mains.

I won't throw the charger away, if I can find an "honest" repair place, I may give that a try first. If Mastervolt would have showed me to be better in repairing their own products, I would go there next time I'm going to the Netherlands, but that's not on my planning at all. Maybe if there's a good address in the UK, I can drop it there when I'm going to the Skipton Waterways Festival (if I manage to go there), and pick, it up on the way back. Peter.

Just had a thought how I can check the charger on shore power, I can unbolt the bloody thing, and take it with me to Belgium in the beginning of march where I will go to do a few little jobs in the house at my sisters, and celebrate her 74th birthday.
As the house is on shore power, I can test the thing there, only have to bring a spare battery to make the 24volts together with the battery from my car.
Peter.

I think it's difficult now to fix electronics because of surface mounted components. They tend to just plug out the faulty board and plug in s new one. I had a mastervolt inverter that didn't last long, I wasn't impressed so I won't be buying anymore of their equipment.

I've just had a thought are there any fuses in side the case. They are usually under the metal plate that lifts off on the end of the case.
