I agree the windows are ugly, but that's personal taste.

The windows do look odd but I bet it makes the boat nice to be in. Plenty of light and a view out. I like a view out but my solution to this (on a barge not a nb) was to put portholes below side deck level.
If I went back to NBs I would be tempted to have windows the full height of the cabin but not ones which opened outwards as that is asking for trouble.
I've long thought the best arrangement for a nb would be just to have several sets of side doors with proper window frames bolts in from inside. In summer just use them as doors and in winter the extra windows would be a bonus. Good security as well with all doors shut on one side or both..

You've just gone down in my estimation. I suppose at least it's not a historic boat.

I have seen that one before Kris, looks like a rough boat and would not want to pay anything near that price for the condition it's in and the work that it needs.

kris No it's a modern boat. To be honest I would do the same if I had a humber keel. Loads are done like that. Mostly welded-in but I fitted mine myself by cutting out rings from 42mm mahogany planks and bolting the portholes to them then neoprene seal to the steel which I cut with a jigsaw. 7 inch opening portholes. I love them. Watch the coots while sitting in the cabin. I've done 4 on one side (canal side when on mooring) and 1 the other side. I actually cut another ring of mahogany this morning for the 5th one going in on the canal side and another one yesterday which I will put on the other side. I like living on a boat mainly because of the environment. Wildlife other boats etc etc. My low level portholes are the best thing I've done to this boat and I have done a lot to it Sorry for dragging this off your topic robmcd !

I can't beleive that boats worth 64k Me either, when I started looking at boats I seen one go up for sale and it was an amazing boat, it sold on ebay for just 28k and was a bargain. I would have brought it but didn't have the funds at the time, but still remember it as it was that good...

I agree rob it's rough the interior would need sorting out. But if the hull is as good as they say. Kubota's are good engines as well. I agree about the price, but it's been on sale for a while so a cheeky offer would be the way. But you have to like a boat enough to put the effort in.

I've just seen it done so badly so many times that I have an aversion to it. But obviously it's your boat and all that.

All that really put me off with this boat is the cruiser stern, I really don't want a cruiser stern and at that size boat it's loosing a lot of space that could be better used. It will only be me on the boat so that type stern is of no use to me at all.
