Starting to make plans for this summer ...... Unfortunately it doesn't look as if the proposed trip North to the Caledonian is going to happen this year but I'm going to explore a bit more around here. The wish list Goole and the Knottingly and Goole section of the Aire and Calder as far as airdraft permits Keadby and as far up the Sheffield and South Yorkshire as I can (Thorne) As far up the river Trent as I can which if the river levels stay low is Nottingham ...... my pinch point is Newark Town Bridge ...... height given is 3.7m If I remove my radar scanner and flatten the solar panels my air draft is ................. 3.64m !!! That was measured with 3/4 of a diesel tank and 1/2 water tanks (diesel tank right aft, water tanks aft just fwd of the wheelhouse) with everything full that should be about an extra ton or ton and a quarter. If I put a couple of 200 litre drums of diesel on the stern as well, I should be able to lower her another couple of inches aft. If I can I would also like to run up the river Ancholme to Brigg ...... Sabina's original delivery route I owe thanks to several people for research ...... Cygnus for checking bridge heights Aire and Calder and John Dean Snr for assistance checking my airdraft and for his checking heights with his friends on their facebook site.

What's the worst they can do if you don't get a CRT licence? Banish you from CRT waters? Well, that's easy! Off you go and sneak back under the cover of darkness that's very naughty mr fox.

There still plenty to explore for you up there John.
I'm pretty sure that you don't regret too much having left you mud-berth last year.
"Sabina-H" is much happier too, being back on the waterways she was built for.
Starting tomorrow, I will have one month to enjoy looking at her.
Peter.

PΓΆh! I reversed a couple of times all the way from the Premier Inn at Gargrave to the water tap past the continuous line of boats.
