Yes, I can (just) see that the coal has arrived, that wasn't there last week. I need to find a bit of tarp to cover it with really, a few months of sun and the bags will start falling to bits. Am planning on spending a few days on the mooring next week, might see what I can find then.

Was only joking about selling your car, no need to put a camera on it, although the camera looks to be more valuable than the car!

The 75 is actually considered to be one of their better offerings. A colleague had the estate version in a deep burgundy colour and a very nice car it was too.

They're starting to get a bit rare now. I look out for them when I'm driving the truck and quite often I'll do 300 miles and not see one. It's unusual to see more than two or three.

Some very interesting boats in your moorings stabby, the blue one a few up from you with a radiator on the stern, does that also steer from the front via a wheel? Think it was following me a few years ago and I couldn’t see a steerer on the stern but could see a face at the front window

They did a Rover 75 V8 I think it was branded MG. Quite an unusual vehice.
MG will make a good electric car brand like Saab and Lancia.

MG ZT Ford 4.6l V8 powered - wheezy 260 odd bhp but made the right sort of racket - successfully supercharged when they become a bit of a handful. mjg and Mr Stabby are on the money - Rover 75 and MG ZT were cracking cars, BMW didn't push it as hard as they should (I guess the worry of robbing burgeoning 3 series fleet/PCP sales may have had something to do with that...) and the usual negative press reaction to ANY Rover/Austin/BL/BMC product meant it was hamstrung from the word go. 4 pot petrol K series reliability issues didn't help either Shame, it was a good car that deserved much more success - sadly it was also saddled with having to save Rover - a task it was never going to be able to manage on its own 🧐🤦♂️🤬

I remember one of the Top Gear lads describing the 75 driving experience as like "being wafted about on a cloud" sounds pretty good to me. I did have a Rover once. A 418SLD with the Peugeot diesel. I owned it 2003-2005. Great car very comfy but it was subjected to my personal "no maintenance" strategy which sadly killed it. I cooked it due to ignoring the fact the water pump needed doing.
Very comfy car.

Mr Stabby Rover 75 marks him as a man with impeccable taste, a keen sense of style, immensely intelligent and having a canny eye for a bargain - who would have believed that possible??!!
