I don't know what's wrong with me (gabapentin a side) but I can't seem to make any decisions on my own at the moment... Take the best place to put the reading lights in the cabin - do I have the wires hanging inside the wardrobes either side of the bed (cross bed) ready to mount the lights on their side OR have them coming out of the wall either side of the porthole. What have you got and is it right for you/would you change it? Sorry for these on going inane questions - like I said, It's like thinking through fog at the moment

Any position you like with this bad boy isn't that some kind of sex aid to help with the "fun box?" (that's what gav at work refers to ladies bits as)

Some sort of nightlight or a switch for one within reach is nice. These aren't too bad for general 12V lighting, quite cheap/easy to get one for a try-out, but best avoid putting the higher powered LEDs in an enclosed fitting. www.maplin.co.uk/p/luceco-led-mr16-2700k-5w-370lm-bulb-a10tuA lot more choices for mains around for GU10 LEDs and fittings, so for a bigger boat I wonder if mains lighting circuit would be viable, could run it off a small PSW inverter also. On the 12V side there are the 'puck' lights some of which plug into G4 fittings, again best buy one or two for a tryout as they can be variable quality wise.

When it's bed time on the boat we are usually too knackered to do reading in bed, the earlier you go to sleep the earlier you can wake up. One or two LED torches on the bedside cabinet do fine for reading, the head torch is also perfect. One of my favourite times is 4am or 5am being up alone in the boat, breathing new life into the stove, and doing paperwork at the kitchen table. A little Camping Gaz stove in the kitchen blasts the chill away. A nice cup of tea with honey, and a small whisky as dawn breaks... Classical FM on the radio...

I have a nice cupboard over the head end of the bed. Someone fitted lights to it's underside which poke into the cupboard. Then they slung a car radio and speakers under it. What with the wiring and lights poking through, the cupboard is now useless! I advise you don't do that.

I have two LED spotlights which are screwed to the underside of a shelf which, rather bizarrely has been screwed over the cupboard door shown. Equally bizarrely, the cupboard has two doors and can still be accessed via the other one. I have no idea how it was originally or why it had two doors in the first place?

This might be a zombie ...... but I missed it first time round When the passengers of a narrowboat succumb to a zombie-virus and the crew members soon start to literally bite, the hostess of the ship and her teenage daughter are left with no options. Aided by an alcoholic musician, an Indonesian cleaner and two Swedish elk hunters, they must guide the ship, crammed with zombies and drunks, safely into Braunston Marina. But this fight for survival is made even more difficult by the fact that it's hard to tell a cannibalistic zombie from a blindly drunk passenger, who just wants more to drink.
