Due to the perpetual pedants and timewasters over on CWDF (why did i even think it was a good idea to advertise an immaculate boat over there?) Theres a few more pics to prove there is actually a stove fitted and im not actually a lying chancer who need protecting from by the 'greatly experienced boat-sellers' over there!! !ππ In fairness, it's not exactly a secret that the only people left un-banned from CWDF are the inadequate shit-eating goblins. It would be difficult for the average CWDF member to even see the photos because with their tongues rammed so far up Daniel's chocolate starfish they've got little chance of seeing anything other than his butt-cheeks even with their peripheral vision.

I think it a superb looking boat, not my type of boat (it's not old enough or battered enough) but it looks beautiful, Anyone buying that is getting a damn good deal

I think Donkey is just being fussy - when you see something like this, just go for it and get some bleedin' boating done. When you finally (after 100 years?) find the ideal boat you've been looking for, then you can sell what you have and buy what you've been dreaming about. I think Andy(berk) is a trustworthy person, and I can't see anyone buying this boat going far wrong. I'll be the owner of a boat this year but it will not be an all porthole boat. I wouldn't have any qualms about buying from AndyB. Interesting comment , we went from bus Windows to all 11" potholes and loved them.level of light was fine, less solar gain in the summer and less heat loss in the winter plus it would have to be a pretty skinny tea leaf to get in the lights. Really secure boat with steel doors fore and aft and bars on both Houdini hatches. Phil

Difficult to explain in detail but for much of the last 10 years I lived a close to 'hermit' existence. I'm aware of the benefits that you describe and in the future I may change my mind, but for now the boat needs to suit me not me suit the boat - if that makes sense.
Plus more opportunity to look up ladies skirts with bus windows....... soz....

That makes perfect sense..when I came to Horror House I couldn't cope with the world/lots of people etc...if I could have stayed on my boat I would have... However up here now is not right..its not just the house/the work its a need to mix more. I want to have the choice to wander to a pub, maybe (scary thought) join something..ive already volunteered to get involved with the lifeboats. Ive recovered and Im ready to take the next step... Think carefully about the boat ..you may find the hopper windows too big. I think andybergs boat is lovely but Ive already let go of Patty Ann which was 58ft as being to big for me....I'll always regret letting her go but one the same size wouldn't be a good idea. Perhaps land based and seizing any opportunity to get on the water is the way forward for me...who knows?..the future beckons but first gotta sort this b..... house out.

Much easier to draw curtains/put up plywood port hole panels (as a temp fix) on the inside if I'm wrong, and cope with paying more in heating, the mutt will scare (lick to death) any intruders.
Good luck with the house...

I lived on a 55ft narrow boat for 12 years mainly cruising about in different areas. It had large channel glaze windows to the front end (3 x 48x24" windows each side) and portholes back to the stern where the toilet, shower, bed and engine were. Engine room (a stern engine room with Russell newbery not a trad type with living cabin behind it) had side doors.
One of the things which affected me (due to having non-solvable anxiety problems) was that someone might attempt to damage a window when moored somewhere dodgy and for that reason it suited me. I also like sleeping in a dark area.
Portholes throughout no thanks but half windows half portholes is ideal afaik
