The Saltisford Arm.
I'm sure dogless will be along later with some further info for you.
Enjoy!

Probably nowhere for free any more - you may find District Enforcement have signs up everywhere now "in co-operation with CRT". District Enforcement are very fond of other peoples' money.

Should I get black & white stripey suits with Balaklavas for me & the missus- maybe get free help at the locks on the way down & DE think we are still in their old uniforms when we arrive?

Cape of Good Hope, decent step in to town but it was a cracking pub last time we were there (7 years ago....) God knows what the situation is with moorings there now though!

I'd also go for the Saltisford Arm.Great little place close to the town.Small charge but worth it.That's our up/down Hatton stop.

Warwick isnβt the easiest or best place to moor. There are some VMs near Kate boats but often a lot of crap on the offside at the boatyard means there isnβt a whole lot of passing room. Otherwise as said, above Cape locks but that is barely Warwick. A lot of the canal eg near the Avon aqueduct is concrete sides and pretty shallow.

We parked by the bridge that is nearest the town centre. What's wrong with that? Just a bit to the east of Kate's.

Got a spot near the Cape, walked off lunch, now kicking back until this evenings session. Castle tomorrow, then continue on - next will be looking out for a spot to try out the drone once clear of the builtup area.
