Just noticed a poll over there, that was opened last Sunday, and currently registers 39 voters.
Doesn't seem many more than a similar poll would attract on here.
It is a bigger, and certainly busier forum (it's much more established too) but I'm surprised by the small number of voters.

I've put some Thunderboat ads up in shop windows here & there round England, but none seem to have brought in new members. I still think that's the best way to go, make up a little ad and place them in corner shop windows, and on marina noticeboards, or hand them out to passing boaters. Feel free to copy and print mine, or make your own.

Last several new faces are all CWDF members too it seems to me.
Quite useful for some to have a foot in both camps I think.

I nip over and have a look at Canalworld sometimes, but I think all the action and fun is here. It's much comfier here, you can be yourself. Anyway, enough chit-chat for now, have an insurance form / accident report to fill in. BMW X6 reversed into me this afternoon. I'm not happy about it, I bet he's even less amused.

I live in a land yot, and holiday on bowts.

Could be.
I looked but didn't join in too.
Partly because I thought it was a rubbish idea. Have you read any trip advisor type reviews? They're often hilarious.

Nice. Out of interest what sort of heating do you run in it? Propex 2000, it's good but proper noisy, I'm trying to work out if I can fit some sort of silencer to it.

I have Propex in my yoghurt pot and don't think it noisy ...... possibly because it was a replacement for an erbesplutter ..... "pardon ?" "I SAID AN ERBESPLUTTER"

Strange, I fitted one in my first boat and thought it was rather quiet. Mind you thinking back the unit was fitted under a hatch on the stern deck. Phil

A lady friend was texting me about a service engineer who has a boat, and said "You know, he fixes those evansbakkers". Can't think of them as anything else since Rog

My friend calls them "eversplasher" I think its a reference to what happens when you rip it out and lob it in the water in disgust.
