"Posting any material, anywhere on the site, that is deemed to have a primarily political theme that is not strictly related to inland waterways and/or boating is prohibited. In addition, content containing a religious theme, or content that makes commentary on religious issues, is not permitted. Exceptions to this rule may be made in special circumstances with prior approval of the Site Administration."
"The problem is 99% of the time there are NO consequences to misbehaviour on here. And 1% of the time there is. What sort of way is THAT to treat us children?
Even reporting posts/threads that clearly breach the guidelines usually results in a 'well its not really doing any harm' type of rebuttal and refusal to take action." -MtB
"But there a LOTS of threads about politics.
This is not about the Brexit thread specifically. It is about having rules and not enforcing the most of the time, then occasionally enforcing them with no warning.
Hardly a professional way to run a forum." - MtB
"I wasnt online yesterday when it bit the dust. I must say I am a bit sorry as many of us had played quite nicely even you lot on the wrong side of the debate π I think I have gleaned today that it was locked cos of a bloke who posts on a self moderating playground and a caravaner!!" - Mr Smelly, the Man on the Telly
"Oh him. Someone told me the other day he threw his toys out of the pram there and demanded his account be deleted. About the time he reappeared here after a long absence." - MtB

Itβs hypocritical to accuse people of hypocrisy. Itβs judgemental to accuse people of being judgemental. Itβs nice when people are nice to eachother though. Seems Iβve failed on that account recently.

The first rule of CWDF is ... you do not talk about CWDF I logged on there earlier, and a page of new rules comes up, which you have to click to agree with before you get to the site. I liked Phil's comment that he read them and was now too scared to post Rog

I've not read the rules new or otherwise, just thought it may be worth sharing my views.
CWDF follows a fairly mainstream moderation policy, fine but it doesn't allow for views outside of the mainstream. This is all well and good until you fall foul of the mainstream (and the mainstream doesn't always follow public opinion). End result is people getting banned just for having a different opinion. Either accept everyone should conform to the mainstream or join TB...

When I was on CWF as βbassplayerβ I remember asking the question about the liabilities of the site owners. Basically the general concensus was that they do have a liability if the content becomes illegal. I didnβt realise that this extended to having a different opinion and exposing the real trolls. Still, itβs Danielβs forum so I suppose itβs his call at the end of the day. He or Delta could shut their respective forums down at any time. It makes you wonder why they put up with us really.
