In a rare moment of weakness - led by Phil's new rules thread I had a look at the drivel on CWDF and spotted this www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?/topic/99278-deleting-old-uploaded-file-attachments/I know it is a bit taking my ball away but.... Had MTB not posted this I wouldn't have been aware of how to delete my pictures form their site - feel a bit happier that my photos - particularly ones of the Mrs, The Dwarf and the dog are now deleted from their server. Quite cathartic really So, MTB has finally - and in among the thousands and thousands of post containing utter crap posted something half useful - well done Mike, have a coconut

Not sure why he gets so much stick on here, he is a perfectly pleasant chap “in the flesh”, helpful on the forum when it comes to gassy things, and doesn’t post any more crap than most people on here. And at least he has a sense of humour.

As I think I have said before, the only person I’d be worried about meeting in real life is myself!

I think it's because he's prone to don an 'experts' hat on a wide range of subjects.
He was very much in the 'opposition camp' in the bad old days of CWDF too, although his views seem to have changed considerably of late.
I agree, he seemed jolly pleasant when we met briefly.

I am sure he secretly wants to get a part of TB but can't bear the thought of being an outcast on cwdf - if only he had your imperious and dogmatic approach to both forums - he wouldn't give a shit who he pissed off

But on the BCN challenge (that slightly scary and daring event that I doubt many or even any on here have the balls to compete it). And then some other time at a lock, can’t remember which one. And then on the one occasion I foolishly wasted time watching a succession of old rust buckets going round and round and round at Braunston.

Not my place to reveal I’m afraid (and let’s be clear, knowledge is power). Anyway, it’s not my fault if you lot are all so insecure that you have to spend most of your posting on virtue signalling and fretting about how you might be perceived.

I think there is a reason why the BCN challenge involves racing around Brum in the quickest time and getting back to the comfort of your home as quickly as possible. No, in all seriousness, it’s something we’ve wanted to do...but too scared! We went through the heart of Brum (and past the Post Office tower) a few years ago. Also took in some unusual parts of the cut (took the wrong turning). I think it was the peripheral areas which were a bit scary, but all in all a very interesting trip, Hmm.food for thought.

Dragging mattresses and trolleys up from the bottom of the BCN with a load of pensioners when they should really be in bed isn't likely to catch on as the next big thing in the extreme sports world.

No one on here behaves like your other bestie Wanted.

Dragged up neither mattresses not trolleys when we did it. Although it’s just as well you didn’t mention dead bodies.
