Given that they are both failing neither of them deserve tuppence. Jim I say this after listening to Radio 2 political debate on Vine this afternoon that no MP that isnt listening to the way voters voted is worth owt, its a travesty of democracy and I can see repercussions if they dont change their tack starting on Sunday I expect

"A statement from the Canal and River Trust said: "Investment income, which has increased again this year, is crucial to the funding of the waterways, so that everyone* can continue to enjoy and benefit from them."
*Especially Stuart Mills, eh?

Stuart Mills: "Cycling 300 miles for Canal & River Trust because I want to support this great charity" - Have you considered only taking £40,000 annual salary from CRT, Stuart, and donating the remaining £160,000 of what you get now back to CRT?

You must be joking Kris, these kind of people don't even know what a guilty feeling is, they're so used to filling their pockets that it's all completely normal to them. Peter.

Yes I was joking as you rightly point out. It is Stuart mills and the finance dept that are responsible for the desperate situation of the waterways, so he obviously has no conscience.

Yes, I'm sure he'll be shamed into returning his ill-gotten gains. What do all those on the Board of Governors (or whatever it is) actually do for their money?

I think when we remain in the ever evolving EU, as we surely will, the organisation should find a new way forward. In future, it shouldn't just be the great unwashed who are 'equalised' with their poorer brethren in Poland, Lithuania etc. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, surely? Perhaps in years to come the likes of Stuart Mills will be competing with Oleg from Poland who would be more than delighted to earn £40,000 a year, as £10,000 is about the limit back home. Cleverly though, Stuart Mills and his type have been able to exclude Poles, and all other foreign 'invaders' who threaten their ridiculous high salaries. They went to the wrong school, their English isn't good enough or other spurious arguments to cover the reality; plain and simple racism. Ironic really given that his type are the first to hurl this very accusation at the millions whose wages have fallen in real terms, whose public services and social housing provisions have been decimated by 2 decades of uncontrolled inward movement of competing low skilled workers.
I think it's about time the higher earners had a bit of the medicine too, see how they like it.
