The woman has vaguely attempted to suggest we eat out there but I have a catastrophic dislike of awful celebrities so I manage to steer clear. I don't mind good food (whether it is or not I have no idea) but a restaurant named after a knob head just doesn't do it for me.
Not at all. Celebrity culture gone mad.

What I particularly dislike about this knob head is that somehow he's managed to convince lots of people, up to government level, that kids are fat simply because they are eating too many burgers and not enough greens. Whilst this is clearly part of the problem the simple reason people get fat is that they consume more calories than they expend. it's silly just to look at calories consumed. Kids are being driven to school because of the false notion that parents hold that there's a predatory paedophile lurking on every street corner, and they don't do sports any more because the school playing fields have been sold off for housing development. If we were to simplify this matter we could say that kids are fat because they have become less active. This wouldn't fit within Jamie Oliver's agenda though, to promote himself and his interests, so lets kid everyone that people can do zero exercise and remain healthy by eating rabbit food. That's what makes him a knob head, of the highest order.

All that school meals bollocks was simply a way to raise his profile so that he can make more money and be seen as a 'good guy'.
Scam alert!
The driving to school thing is ridiculous. I walk my kids to school its about 12 minute walk. Nice to have a walk before and after school. Its healthy.

There are so many little waddlers around these days. I think it's cruel to feed kids like that, a form of child abuse. We need a campaign to do the job, it's worked with seat belts and smoking. Not that I think this proposed calory limit on a meal will work, just nip round to the pie shop or order 2 puddings.

Whilst lack of exercise is irrefutably a cause of obesity, I believe one of the major contributors is fizzy drinks.
Rarely had access to them as a child.
Now gallons are drunk daily, and it's just liquid sugar.

Going back to a slightly earlier topic (celebrity chefs)
Many years back, when staying in Cornwall, I proposed a visit to a then fairly unknown establishment in Padstow, my treat for my birthday. (having heard of it from a friend)
The family were unwilling to travel from the Truro area to there for a night out and to my great regret I had to settle for an uninspired place more local.
Years later I visited Rick Stein's restaurant but I have always regretted not being able to get there when he was starting.
(The other TV chef I used to enjoy watching on tv was Floyd, not so much for his recipes, more for his sheer joi de vivre)
