It seems like only yesterday when British Members of Parliament were debating barring Donald Trump from these shores,I considered that a low point in our Political History and frankly I was disappointed in the way Trumps Comments regarding Muslims were twisted and exploited by people who I thought should have known a lot better. Well things have moved on since then, yesterday he was confirmed the Republican Candidate promising supporters that "safety will be restored" you begin to wonder what does that really mean for both America and the world at large? Trump an old man himself seems intent on being fresh and relevant, his speech making reference to violence on the streets and the chaos in our communities,in other words referencing recent news events. It is an old message though,Richard Nixon said similar back in 1968 about cities enveloped in smoke and flame and Americans hating each other, fighting each other, killing each other at home.I suggest its an election winning strategy not much more. Ronald Reagan asked back in 1980 "are you better off now than you were four years ago" Trump asks "are you and your world less secure than you were eight years ago" and there probably lays the singular issue that may resonate with a lot of Americans and take him to the White House. The trouble with Clinton is that we have seen it all before, there is nothing only more of the same,Trump is the Human Brexit and thats why you should all get down Betfred and get your money on Trump for President,I think barring disaster its a done deal.

Trump as president seemed unconscionable a few months ago. But I expect they said the same thing when Ronald Raygun was running too, and look what happened.
The only thing is that the president is not a dictator. It's been interesting to see just how little Obama has been able to achieve in terms of gun laws, police racism, healthcare etc because they weren't supported in congress.

If you spent less time posting pointless one word obscenities and more time moving your boat, the world would be a much better place.

I would love to meet a few genuine American Black Men or Women who aren't steeped in the "Black Thing" and ask them has Obama done much to advance Black People in America. Shall we meet at Betfred later Nick, they have a large car park for landing or do you feel Clinton has a chance?

If you hadn't led such a sheltered life you'd know there was much pleasure to be had rolling around in faeces whilst being whipped. This place is a virtual substitute, being a dung heap with plenty of verbal lashing.

There is a major difference between Trump and Obama, Republican President and the Republicans also hold the majority in the two houses, Obama and the Democrats lost control of the Congress and so were hamstrung. One thing I think could be a good thing would be pressure on the NATO states that do not spend 2% on their defence. As to the rest I wonder how much of his rhetoric will actually happen. Personally I feel the US has to do something about its gun laws and its polices use of them.

I said ages ago that I thought he would win. Also the problem is that Clinton still has problems with her emails which the State dept might have to charge her with. The State dept is between a rock and a hard place after the FBI developed sloppy shoulders and gave the job to them, imagine its a 50 50 chance of going wrong whatever they do.

I remember as you do as well some people calling Brexit and a Trump White House the Nightmare Scenario, its strange how its all coming to pass.

Bush would be a better analogy. I remember thinking what an idiot he was and that he could never be elected president. Well, he wasn't elected president, but he got the job anyway.

In a saner time, Hillary would be running as a republican against Bernie Sanders as the democrat. It's anyone's guess who will win this election. The only thing for sure is who will lose, and that's the American people.
