Have to agree when Foxy and Pirrko visited me he was an affable chap and good company but..... I felt he could be a sufferer of mild Aspergers, just a little manic at times, you know a bit to edgy. Pirrko was lovely. Phil

Whilst Fox’s post is just another polarised rant, I do have to question why some ‘groups’ (who are polarised) have to incite the majority of us by rubbing our noses in it.
I know you are probably all bored to death of me pointing out the damage ‘divide and conquer’ strategies do to the majority of the society who just want to get on with everyone and be nice. However it’s a disease of epidemic proportions on social media (and mass media).
There’s a clue there somewhere..

Because the majority of 'us' (🙄) have no comprehension of what is actually important in life! I mean Foxy's post sums it up for me... His view on life, full of outrage & anger results in his bigoted, racist, mysogynistic views becoming even further entranched into his way of seeing the world. Sure he will keel over with some outrage induced illness one day, probably after peaking a young lady sporting hairy armpits or something!🙄 So what if theres a 'woman's only' radio station....Does it really have any affect on me or anyone elses life? Quite a few years ago, whilst in Spain, I questioned my neighbour as to why he let his dog bark in his back yard, he replied by asking me why I let it annoy me...Right answer from him👍

I wouldn't want to listen to a 'woman only ' station..in the main i find radio programmes fronted by women irritating.. I like to hear banter and amusing stuff which the likes of Ken Bruce provide..I'm not so keen on Simon Mayo since he joined forces with whoever it is.. Cannot stand Elaine Page or Lisa Tarbuck.. But each to their own... Don't mind so much some of Rad 4 women progs

Note to Donald - I suspect that playing that to terrorist suspects would be more effective than waterboarding.
I like Simon Mayo and I quite like Joe Whiley, but together they are custard with ketchup.

Does nobody else find the current crusade by 'progressive liberals' to promote the 'rights' of women, often beyond what a logical, balanced mind might consider to be reasonable, and if you have the temerity to question any aspect of this crusade you are instantly castigated as morally bankrupt, a misogynist.... irritating, at the very least? I certainly do.

I am against any form of gender discrimination, including so called "positive" discrimination, so some things like single gender only shortlists for parliamentary candidates do irritate me.

I also think sometimes we expect too much or aren’t prepared to compromise enough. Live and let live (or should it be ‘love and let love’?) usually works until someone takes the piss. Then there is the difference between taking the piss out of an individual and the majority of society. Well the repercussions are usually worse.

Whilst social and mainstream media stoke the divide and conquer atmosphere (both have slightly different reasons for this but the primary one seems to be to get others to agree with you), I do think the extreme liberal classes can take some blame. No one (well very few people can 'get on with everyone and be nice' all the time - unless you only mix with people from the same background/views. We seem to have lost the power to accept that different people do have different views about things (essentially to agree to differ without resorting to accusations/bullying/banning/death by social media etc etc). Politicians are some of the worst - PM Qs has a lot to answer in my opinion in showing the country how not to behave.

Late to the party. Will take me a while to catch up. Almost no mobile-data/cellphone signal here, and been driving the boat and then engine & gearbox oil changes, and to get 2 sacks of coal. Also packing this evening. And setting booby traps for... well... Boobies!

I cannot imagine for a moment, that the post in question actually represented ANY of foxy's ACTUAL beliefs or thoughts.
People here I like and respect have met him and speak well of him.
I fear it was just another cut and paste mish mash of other peoples idiotic views and profanity.
I hope we in turn are not bullying him ... but we surely have an equal right to protest.

Rog Nobody is bullying anyone. Don't fall into that PC brigade claptrap. Foxy made a shit post, he got a few shit remarks for it. Very justifiable in my view.

Blimey. Just thought I'd 'put the cat amongst the pigeons' for a larf. Ricco sums it up succinctly. It's taking a minute to load each page down here in this dip where we be parked, so you may have to do without me this evening. First trains to Smethwick and Dudley tomorrow - I mean, why go to Spain when you can get grey paes 'n' bacon here in the Black Country.

I'd have no problem with a 'woman's only' radio station, but it is in the nature of radio that it would be impossible to prevent men from listening to it. I would go further. I would have no problem with women forming a club which only women were permitted to join, and in which men were completely excluded. And I would have no problem with men doing something similar.

It’s the ones who are cock sure of themselves who are the problem. ...I’m cock sure of that!
