" Boy, 14, dies after being 'knifed seven times in the back by gang members after crash between his moped and their car' A The murder is London's fourth of the year so far after less than ten days of 2019 - and follows 12 months of bloodshed in the capital which saw 134 homicides committed. Reading the above reminded me (for no obvious reason) of a guy I was working with the last few months. He's 40 years old and has worked for the company for 5 years this year. I asked where he'd worked previously and he told me he'd never had a job. He'd been on benefits since leaving school as he suffers epilepsy (although controlled very well by medication). His benefits were stopped following an assessment when he was 35, and he was placed on a 'back to work' course and subsequently sent for a job interview for his current job. As a single bloke he said he'd have happily just stayed on benefits, but has loved working and with hindsight is very happy he was 'pushed' into a different lifestyle. I was somewhat astounded that someone could achieve 35 years of age without ever having applied for, let alone achieved, any kind of employment. Another lesson for me that our life experiences are all very different, and consequently it's natural that we cannot always understand anothers view, but that doesn't necessarily make it wrong. Rog My memory may not be 100% but that would make this bloke you mention about school leaving age when Labour started their last stint in government, he obviously made the then perfect career choice...Milk the system for all its worth! No wonder he could afford a 20 yr pampered life of probably sitting on his arse watching daytime tv, drinking Tesco cider and smoking dope at the taxpayers expense!Β Labour...For the many (lazy scrounging twunts!) Not the few! 40 year olds left school in 1995, two years before Labour came to power. 1995 is a year I vividly remember, nice summer, I was finally on the road, and more importantly:- This was a proper good hit in '95 and reminds me of being a 16 year old yoof π

Probably on a Tory run Youth employment scheme straight from school, then dropped out of that in 97 to a Labour run career of scrounging lazy bastard! π

Jayden is an awful name. Maybe giving someone a name like Benedict or Jonathan would give them a better start.
So sad.

He was only 14, a child. I did read they'd only recently moved to an area of London that had trouble with gangs If thats the case I don't see him as a hardened gang member...and even if a 14 year old is a gang member they shouldn't pay for it by being brutally stabbed. As for the moped and under age riding of it..how many lads guilty of that one?..certainly my older brother was There are other accounts available rather than relying on the Daily Mail

more likely a case of mistaken identity?
if he was wearing a helmet like in the photo it would be hard to correctly identify him.

Slightly nasty irony. You nick someone's motorcycle then someone knocks you off it and violently kills you assuming you are the owner of the vehicle you are riding.
Its a real concern.

"The teenager described himself as a 'trapper boy' on social media β street slang for a drug courier β while it was claimed he was a known dealer and regularly carried a knife."
"images of the murdered youngster emerged yesterday of him astride his moped and holding fistfuls of Β£50 and Β£20 notes"
"Police want to establish how the 14-year-old came to be riding a moped illegally"
"Jayden certainly appeared to emulate gangland culture on social media, styling himself 'Little Driller' on Instagram β 'drilling' translates as killing in urban street slang."
Comments disabled - quelle surprise!
