/ I've read similar proposals from a variety of people. Interesting view, but leavers will be sympathetic and remainers critical. Rog ETA Oops ... it was a piece by Tony Abbot ex Aussie premier ... but it's gone! That's fb for you

Only if the vote was for "Remain". If it was for Brexit (again!), that would show that the "will of the people" was settled on exit. Without a second vote, the country will remain divided anyway, with remainers claiming that the result was based on inaccurate information. (i.e. lies) This of course if you are assuming all those voting out were thick. Which of course they were not, and there lies the issue. Remainers assuming and suggesting they are smarter, and are more worthy of being listened to. Utter bollocks really. The vote was there, people thought about it and made their minds up. Job done, no excuses or whining, time to leave with a WTO agreement. Assuming that the voters who believed the Brexit lies are as thick as the voters who believed the remainer lies, perhaps!

(i.e. lies) Of course another referendum is going to prolong the uncertainty. The leave date would have to be postponed, we would have a campaign running up to the vote. So how would it not prolong the uncertainty? I was referring to the divisions in the country, not the uncertainty. Without a second vote, I think these divisions will remain, whether or not we leave on 29th March.
