"facts" when used in politics seem to have a habit of changing.
The problem is that there are very very few FACTS it is almost entirely supposition based on whatever viewpoint you happen to hold.
I keep repeating this ..... There are no "facts" about future happenings ...... it's the future ..... nobody knows !!!

The last time our government got us into a horrible, unnecessary tangle ... people from many countries were killed and maimed as a consequence. Perhaps at this point, as the sun shines down glinting on the overnight frosts, we should remember and perhaps celebrate that with the current EU debacle ... no one is being killed, maimed or injured in anyway. It's a small crumb of comfort ... but there aren't that many to pick from Rog True but the difference is this might have some slight effect on us. The previous debacle involved lots of brown people far far away and so we didn’t care that much.

At the end of the day...we voted leave What's the point of a vote if we don't abide by the results ? I've voted for parties in the past which have lost general elections.Did I then get into a frenzy about another vote ?The answer is obviously not.A vote is just that & not the best of 3,4,5,6 etc... And every time there has been a general election in the UK, has everyone really been aware of the 'facts' ? I demand a re-run (sorry - 'People's Vote') for every election held since the early 1800s, as, clearly, no-one has ever known what they have been voting for. I'm sure all of the campaigns have been in favour of one party or another. As for Tusk and Druncker, can't we get the SAS to just nip over to Brussels to make them 'disappear'? Job for Stabbers and our resident MI6 chappie methinks.

2nd para. Not these days. One can be an effective extremist via a keyboard from the comfort of one’s living room. Just look at Trump. That'll be the Trump who is doing what Europe has been demanding for decades and withdrawing US troops from foreign conflicts on the grounds that the USA should not be the world's policeman? Britain has brought all the foreign conflicts back home, stabbings in London, Somali pirates now in the English Channel, Pakistani rape squads and white flight from the big cities.

This is what is wrong with referenda. Get the plebs to vote, then we (the politicians, paid to make decisions) get to slope shoulders to the great unwashed. It then becomes a matter of which side can present the best and most convincing misinformation. Something that was won by Leave, with the £354 million a week bus, etc. And even then, by the thinnest of margins. Hardly a bastion of democracy to be revered. I am not particularly in favour of repeating referenda until the right answer is forthcoming, but in this case, when we voted we had no real idea of the issues. Now, we have a much better idea. Tough,it was up to the voters to do their own research.Just how many votes are folk supposed to get ?The vote was cast-get on with it.Have to be honest, are the French going to stop selling us vino? Will Spain refuse to sell us oranges/tomatoes etc Are other countries going to cut off their noses to spite themselves ? I doubt it somehow. Will Romania stop sending their gypsy scum to hassle people on the High Streets? What I will miss mostly is those sesame snaps from Poland

So preventing illegal immigration is illegal? How does that work then? We have illegal immigration into the U.K. How would you feel if Theresa wanted to spend 4 billion building a wall along the south coast beaches to prevent dinghies full of Africans crossing the channel. And let’s take the money away from wasting it on stupid things like healthcare to fund it. It's not so expensive to round them up, remove their iPhones, and put them in a rusty ferry and dump them back on the French or Belgian coast. Auction of their iPhones (and anything else they're carrying) will help with the cost.

It is a strange world though to be fair.
Its okay to drop large quantities of high explosives onto people from thousands of feet in the air and kill or maim them but if someone attempts to cross the channel in a small boat you are not allowed to let them perish.
Its a catch 22 problem. You save them and the word will get round so more and more will come. You leave them to perish maybe the opposite will happen.
If life is so precious why are we killing so many people in wars? If these people are fleeing conflicts then them dying in the channel is no different from having a bomb dropped on them. Actually probably more pleasant as you won't end up with limbs missing.
Weird.

Can't u tell its the weekend and no bus runs...... Surprisingly I have just come back from the company's 'Little Christmas' gathering. The big boss of the whole company was sitting next to me and I showed her pics of our canal boat and I think I bored her to death. My work is done.

Within the Strictly aura now. Tied up outside the NIA in preparation for tomorrow night. The opening shows are today so we are inhaling the vapour.
We’ve been going to it for the past 6 years, always wanted to have the boat outside, never managed it until now.
