There has been quite a bit done on the bottom end of the Trent but the Ouse upstream of Goole is disgusting, the undergrowth is so high you can't see some of the navigation marks, Below Goole I suspect (but I don't know for certain) that is APB's responsibility (as possibly is the Trent below Keadby) Apparently boaters sometimes do a spot of light vegetation management during the course of navigating channels that are not technically wide enough for their vessels or have moored boat obstructions but I am not sure if CRT appreciate this.

Well he missed that bridge hole on the Thames 😂 I'm not so sure his eyesight's that good, . . it can't be easy seeing all that much with those protruding Neanderthal brows in the way. I did raise this point with him on the ' Why not introduce yourself Rusty69' thread, but I'm not even sure that he was able to read it: < thunderboat.boards.net/post/162229/thread > I thought it was his merkin.

Why would a man wear a merkin?

Bloody hell. You're not opposite stabby then 🤔 The bow of the boat you can see is moored on the outside of a very wide widebeam Looking from the bank before going up that section I reckoned it was maybe 18 foot wide gap ....... when I arrived, travelling with the incoming tide I found that it was only 14 or 15 foot gap .,...... and I couldn't stop (Sabina is 16.5 foot beam ) I have left him a note saying that when I come down in the spring he had better not be in the navigation channel ...... as I will have to reverse down that section of the river as there is no turning point

Some of the stuff cut back on the Lea would even have stopped Sabina. Talking 1 to 2 feet wide tree trunks poking out on the navigation at 30 degrees. I'm no expert but even I could recognize that sort of thing for mile after mile does not come cheap. How it got so bad is another matter. Maybe best not to advertise it though otherwise the tree huggers might come along...

I think he sometimes wears that lower down, . . just below his nose. All that primate like bone structure and hair above the eyes is something altogether different.
