Absolutely disgraceful that a company thinks it's OK to use a butane splice on a safety line. We can assume they used odds and sods of line left over from other applications. Phil

What a bag of shit!! I cannot believe that anybody would think it safe to fuse together a rescue line, I sincerely hope that one day one of the sellers need rescuing and its one of his lines used......................certain justice really

how about the importer for failing to check on the quality of the products supplied to them The report suggesting the supplier, while they should have better quality control has done nothing to break any rules. Indeed it says that throw lines should be included in regs but they are not currently.

I would have thought there could be a claim against the seller purely on the "fit for purpose" side ............. on the other hand that might be just money back/replacement
