Well I have finally flipped my lid, I bought a the above its a 2010 model all electric apart from the fact the batteries and maybe the charger are knackered! It was cheap and its getting delivered tomorrow so its a done deal! My plan is fit LifePo4 batteries better range and performance plus the life is far better than the AGMs fitted as standard. I will be fitting solar panels on the cage /roof hoping for 1kw which would be handy. With standard batteries its a 40 mile range hoping for much better with the LifePo4s the reduction in weight will help in that department, as well as they are better by design I will let you know how it goes after it arrives

I'd never heard of them but reviews on Google seem to be saying that the two cylinder Kubota engine versions are massively better.

I was also expecting some sort of monster truck ! You and me both. You can't have a vehicle called a Mega and it only be the size of a Mini.

You should have a go in a diesel one before you agree with those reviews! you need ear defenders to go anywhere!! The electric versions are let down by lead acid batteries, they are shite to say the least completely the wrong battery for the job!!, if it had lithiums in it they would have been lighter and had a better top speed and range.....................plus they wouldnt be changing them after 18 months!!

Agree with Peter's battery comments. Plus the top speed of 25mph , my milk float would do 30, it had 42 cell battery and was equipped with a electronic gearbox. It used to worry the crap out of motorists, at RABs it would go round at full tilt, ballast of all that lead and a chassis made of chuffing great RSJs kept on the level. Phil the Milk

The batteries are knackered, so on tuesday its remove and sell them to the scrappy, should be worth a few bob. I will fit 4 of the batteries from the boat and give it a trial, if it works ok I will up it to 8 for the moment and 12 in the future. I have ordered a MPPT controller and will source solar panels as well. I dont know about anybody else but the price of fuel is making driving and boating an expensive business, in fact its rising at 5 pence a litre a month!!
