Oh yes, isn't the 'minimum wage / living wage' great? £3.90/hour for apprentice £4.35/hour for under 18 £6.15 age 18-20 £7.70 age 21-24 (that includes bus drivers) £8.81 for 25 and over www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates On those wages, you're really aiming for those houses you see on the telly going for £290,000? How on Earth are you ever going to be able to save up for.... well... anything, on those rates? Forget about ever buying a new car. I wouldn't pay more taxes until the UK government stops frittering away billions on 'Foreign Aid'. Feed and clothe and house the poor of the UK first. Charity begins at home. Or should do. An Englishman-on-minimum-wages's castle.

How many on the living wage have to get housing benefit / universal credit to top up their income. This is a subsidy to low paying companies.
