Hope for their sake it doesn't turn into another Dale Farm debacle.
It is ridiculous that the law can't deal quickly and forcefully with people who blatantly flout the law. They act like that knowing damn well nobody will enforce bugger all on a group that will put up a fight and scream discrimination against minorities. It always ends up costing a bloody fortune both for the legal action and for the clean up that is needed to attempt to put the land back into some sort of good order.
Thank goodness scum are a minority still

One to watch for me, as I know that part of the world. I do chortle when the wealthy, who pretend to be politically correct, get what they ordered Who knows, this lot may keep that field clean and tidy and be no bother to anyone. But it looks as if they have already cheated and lied. The whole thing needs investigating, as do the councillors of Bishops Stortford who have been at best inept. 'Multiculturalism' innit? Enjoy!

In the papers again: "Locals have been left furious after brazen travellers were given planning permission for a sprawling site on the outskirts of an upmarket rural village despite being ordered to leave" "Little Hadham is filled with 53 abodes worth more than £1million and the picturesque village is located close to the River Ash with a population of just over a thousand residents." "The influential residents of the well-heeled settlement, just a few miles from Bishop's Stortford, which include former England football star Matthew Upson, have been shocked by the decision." Isn't it funny how the rich lecture the poor about taking in refugees, yet don't like to see the value of their properties plummet when they have the like turn up at their place? Gotta laugh at this one. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7968921/Travellers-granted-planning-permission-build-Hertfordshire-village-despite-High-Court-order.html"Hundreds of letters were also sent to the council opposing the site. Gary Woods wrote: 'I would like to register my vehement objection to this planning application. 'Should this application be allowed it will do nothing other than promote a massive security risk to the homes and businesses in the area and slash millions off local properties in the area." "Carol Riley, of Little Hadham, raged: 'The use of this land is agricultural and should remain as such. The travellers' site will have a massive impact on house prices. The land was obtained deceitfully. The travellers have ignored the injunction.' " "And I can get sent to prison if I don't pay the BBC licence fee? You couldn't make this stuff up." www.bishopsstortfordindependent.co.uk/news/travellers-win-little-hadham-planning-battle-9098568/"NEXT DALE FARM Little Hadham's quaint streets are usually lined with Porsches and Bentleys, and the village boasts 53 pads worth over £1million." (makes one wonder how they got their money... by honest means?)www.thesun.co.uk/news/10896897/travellers-planning-permission-site-little-hadham/(Dale Farm in Essex was once the largest illegal travellers' site in Europe before being cleared in October 2011. At its height more than 1,000 were people living there - and was at the centre of a decade-long planning row. The eviction cost taxpayers almost £7million. In 2017 council officials began to clear a shocking 180 tonnes of rubbish, asbestos and litter left near the site in Crays Hill.) - this is why people don't like pikeys, is there a single spot where they have stayed that they haven't left piled high with refuse?

it is only fair to say that there are travelers sites ..... and pikey sites, they are not always the same
On the other hand the pikey sites are so bad as to make all sites be viewed with great suspicion

I have to admit, today I "moved" because half a dozen caravans appeared in the carpark next to where I have been moored all week doing garden chores - nothing had happened to make me move other than an uneasy feeling about the coal on my roof with nowhere else to put it.
