Jeremy Clarkson on the demise of the Jeremy Kyle show. Is this a regionalist statement or fair comment?
Writing in the Sunday Times, he described the audience as 'farmyard animals' who want to 'moo' at the show from their homes and the studio. He added:
'You'd imagine that the soft-left intelligentsia on Twitter would be happy to let the farmyard animals in the north of England have this kind of thing to distract them from mending the latch on their outside lavatory doors or warming up after a chilly dip in the tin bath".

Given he's from Doncaster, he's having a dig at his own and so he can be let off in this instance. If it was an actual southerner making such a comment, I'd think "twat". Although I generally think "twat" when Clarkson is the subject, as he's a twat.

Presumably his television work has kept him in the civilised end of the country for so long that he now regards himself as an honorary Southerner?

"Alot of people associate Doncaster with alot of burgalars and theifs, but it’t not that bad! I have lived in the same house in Doncaster since i was 1 and we’ve never been burgaled, I’ve never even had any thing stolen from me, so how bad is it realy? The police are often over Woodlands in their helicoptors, but you never see them on them shitty police shows do you?
Doncaster is not as bad as alot of you think, if you went into Doncaster town and asked some people what they think of Doncaster I bet you most of them say it is not that bad."

I like Clarkson as he says what he thinks. Kyle on the other hand says what he thinks other people would like him to say.
Both very bright ex public school boys (or should that just be privately funded school boys?).
Did you know Kyle’s dad was private security and accountant to the Queen mum?
